This is something I drew in art class. It's of a toy block and my cell phone. The point of the assignment was to draw objects how we see them and to use a dark to light scale. I sort of have a theme for this drawing called Child's Play. It shows what little babies play with compared to what teenagers play with.
Haejin Lee is a ceramicist from South Korea. Her signature artwork is sculptures that look like they're being unraveled. Within the strips of unraveled-ness are human features like eyes and mouths. I love the art style and how it looks like the objects are blowing away. Another ceramicist that I find completely amazing is Christopher David White. His artwork makes the appearance of decaying wood look beautiful. In his sculptures, there's a connection to humans and nature.
